Attractions:
Florence Dome construction started at the end of the twelfth century following the architectural plans of Arnolfo di Cambio. It tooks more than six century for the dome to appear as it is today. The Brunelleschi's cupola was completed in 1428.
Ponte Vecchio was originally built in wood. After being destroyed twice by subsequent floods of the Arno River, it was rebuilt in stones in 1335. This segmented arched bridge is the oldest in Europe.
